About M.D. Foundation

The M.D. Foundation was founded in 2008 by the visionary educationist Late Murlidhar Prasad, a dedicated advocate for accessible education in Darbhanga, Bihar. With a mission to bridge the educational gap between urban and rural communities, the foundation seeks to empower individuals through quality learning and holistic development. On March 25, 2011, it was officially recognized as a charitable trust under the Bihar Public Trust Act, 1950, by the Bihar Government, bearing registration number 02112. Over the past 17 years, the M.D. Foundation has grown into a beacon of hope, transforming lives through education, environmental sustainability, and social welfare programs, all while honoring the legacy of its founder.

Humari Bitiya (हमारी बिटिया)

This flagship initiative aligns with the national “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign, aiming to empower girls through education. Through awareness drives, scholarships, and community engagement, we ensure every girl has the opportunity to learn and thrive. A notable event was the awareness campaign in Arari Birdipur Panchayat, Singhwara Block, where a special conversation with Aftab Alam Khan, National President of the Indian Unity Party, highlighted the program’s impact.

Plastic Hatao, Jeevan Bachao (प्लास्टिक हटाओ जीवन बचाओ)

An environmental campaign promoting eco-friendly practices, encouraging the reduction of plastic use to safeguard our planet for future generations.

Sevashram (सेवाश्रम)

Dedicated to supporting the underprivileged, this program provides food, shelter, and educational resources to the needy, embodying the foundation’s spirit of service.

Aao Ped Lagayein (आओ पेड़ लगायें)

A tree plantation drive that combats global warming and enhances green cover. The recent “Van Mahotsav” event at SES Simri saw students planting diverse species and presenting creative solutions to environmental challenges, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.

Campaign Highlights
